Was Jesus poor?

Was Jesus poor?

So many people today are living from hand to mouth because according to them, the only way you can please God is in Poverty.
In the Gospel of

"And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17
And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18
He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19
Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Matthew 19:16-19

From this bible verses we saw a rich man who came to meet Jesus.
This rich man had followed all Moses teachings religiously for a very long time.
Little does He knew that the new testament was all about sacrifice.

"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions."
Matthew Gospel chapter 19:21-22

What Jesus was communicating to Him was the ability to leave his comfort zone for the sake of the Gospel like Joseph of Arimathea who buried Jesus.
You see no matter the influence of the disciples that followed Jesus, non was anointed enough to ask for the body of Jesus.

Jesus Christ didn't condemn prosperity, what he was condemning was rich people remaining in their comfort zone in the service of the kingdom.

"But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
23
KJV:Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
24
KJV:And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
25
KJV:When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved?
26
KJV:But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible."
  Matthew 19:22-26

Jesus said with man it's impossible but with God all things are possible. So a rich man who is godly will make it to heaven than a poor man that is not godly.

So the question before us is;
Was Jesus poor as he said he was?

"For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."
2 Cor 8:9

The answer is yes.
He became the poorest on earth because no body in his right senses will live the street of gold in heaven and come to the earth filled with stones and sand and still considers Himself rich.
The message Christ was trying to pass to us by saying he became poor for our sake is the attitude of humility.
Not for us to remain in perpetual poverty.

Christ will for us is not for us to be poor. Never!

Why people perform better when they are being watched

Working alongside others may improve performance echnology may have made working from home easier than ever, but according to a new study, staff who are out of sight may not perform as well as those in the office. Researchers at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, US, wanted to find out whether being watched while undertaking a task made a difference to its outcome. Many people believe that being under constant scrutiny damages their creativity while others live in fear of freezing in front of an audience during a public event. But the findings suggest that the pressure of others actually makes people achieve more. "You might think having people watch you isn't going to help, but it might actually make you perform better," said lead author Vikram Chib, an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Johns Hopkins and the Kennedy Krieger Institute. "An audience can serve as an extra bit of incentive." Participants played games on their own or w
